SALT LAKE CITY (ABC4) — Dozens of police reports, including sexual assault allegations, have been uncovered about the man who murdered his son and took his own life over Mother’s Day weekend last year.
Despite the allegations, however, Parth Gandhi continued to operate a well-known ketamine clinic, Salt City Psychedelic Therapy Research, and was never charged with sexual assault.
ABC4’s The Justice Files obtained a search warrant regarding the sexual assault and kidnapping allegations. That warrant led The Justice Files to track down never-before-seen footage of the Salt Lake City Police Department searching Gandhi’s clinic, as well as finding the woman who reported the rape to police.
The search warrant
On April 27, 2022, SLCPD searched Gandhi’s clinic. According to the warrant, he was accused of rape and aggravated kidnapping.
The woman, who asked to remain anonymous, told The Justice Files Gandhi was giving her ketamine treatments at his clinic. According to her, Gandhi said he could “help her even more” by giving her psilocybin at his home.
The woman said when she went to his home, Gandhi drugged and raped her. She said Gandhi later admitted to spiking her orange juice with MDMA, something a different woman shared with The Justice Files last summer.
She reported this incident to SLCPD and told them about at least five other victims.
“And all they could say is, ‘That person won’t call us back.’ So we don’t have any other evidence. And even if she did call us back, or she did, she did tell her story. That’s probably not enough,” the woman said.
The woman said Salt Lake City police gave her few updates on the case. In fact, she had no idea that SLCPD even searched Gandhi’s clinic.
What were police looking for?
The search warrant only requested patient records for the woman who reported the rape. The Justice Files contacted SLCPD and asked for an interview and an explanation as to why the warrant didn’t include searching for illegal drugs at Gandhi’s home where the alleged rape occurred.
This was not the only woman who reported to SLCPD that Gandhi had sexually assaulted them – The Justice Files has records showing others reported concerning behavior to the Division of Professional Licensing.
